Ferro and O'Brien lead health walk

Along with members of the Trucking Solutions Group, FMCSA Administrator Anne Ferro and TravelCenters of America CEO Tom O'Brien stepped out today to lead the annual Health Awareness Walk. 

It was a cold sunny afternoon in Louisville, and dozens of walkers joined in the non-competitive 1.5-mile course around the Expo grounds. Each one got a T-shirt and cool goodie bag from TA.

The 4th annual MATS Health Awareness Walk was sponsored by Trucking Solutions Group and TravelCenters of America.

Anne Ferro will participate in Driver Health Walk

Big news regarding a popular event that will take place here in Louisville on Friday. We just heard that FMCSA Administrator Anne Ferro, who is attending MATS as part of the agency's listening sessions, will be participating in the Driver Health Walk.

The event is hosted by Trucking Solutions Group, a group of professional truck drivers, and is co-hosted by TA/Petro. 

Two members of TSG, Rick Ash and Linda Caffee (they are both OOIDA members, too) told us just minutes ago that Ferro planned to do her opening remarks at the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration listening session scheduled for Friday but would take time out to do the Health Walk, then return to the listening session. 

It's a 1.5-mile walk, scheduled for  2 p.m. at the Kentucky Expo Center, Room B103. Linda says you can preregister at truckingsolutionsgroup.org. She says goodie bags will be provided to walkers by TA/Petro while they last.
